The Block’s Scott Cam has responded to the shocking flirting scandal that has rocked the show, responding to accusations that the drama was ‘orchestrated’.
Viewers were left stunned in recent scenes when Brad Baker’s wife Kylie stopped production after hearing her husband ‘flirting’ with another contestant.
The scandal started when Mimi Belperio, who is married to co-star Kristian, went to Brad and Kylie’s house alone for drinks and ended up ‘flirting’ with Brad.
Now the show’s host Scott, 61, has addressed the shocking twist, shutting down claims that some of the drama was scripted by Channel Nine’s production.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia at the Upfronts on Thursday, he said: ‘Our show is very organic, we leave them to their own devices.
‘We do not orchestrate that drama. It all happens organically due to lack of sleep and time pressure.”
Scott teased more drama in the coming weeks, as he said it sometimes becomes “impossible” to calm things down between the contestants.
“We try to calm it down as best we can, but sometimes that’s impossible, as you’ll find out in the next two weeks,” he admitted.

The Block was rocked by the shocking ‘flirtgate’ scandal on Monday night, with Brad admitting he ‘single-handedly destroyed my family’ with his actions.
In stunning scenes, Brad’s wife Kylie left the production and apparently flew home to Cairns after hearing her husband ‘flirting’ with fellow contestant Mimi.
The drama started when Mimi and Brad got chatting while having a drink at home while Kylie napped nearby, with Brad admitting he had crossed a line with his comments.
‘I’ve made some pretty inappropriate comments. “I was flirting with Mimi…Kylie heard them, and understandably she’s quite upset,” he later explained.
During a subsequent phone debrief with her mother, Kylie revealed exactly what happened during the shocking conversation between her husband and Mimi.
‘Flirting, and talking very inappropriately. How many damn chances have I given him? Over and over,” she told her mother.
Kylie, who shares four children with Brad, then revealed one of the devastating comments her husband made during the flirty conversation.
“Oh, you know I would follow your OnlyFans,” the electrician and plumber allegedly said to Mimi, within earshot of his “napping” wife.

She also claimed that Brad “whined” about her during the conversation, claiming it had “happened before.”
Kylie immediately left the show, with presenter Scott announcing her departure from the construction site the following morning, and she has not been seen since.
“We found her car, blocked the phone, all the signage… we did everything we could to locate her, but she hasn’t been seen,” he said.
Kylie left her car at 2.34pm that day, taking only her handbag, with Brad speculating that Kylie had returned to Cairns to be with their children.
A message recorded on Kylie’s Block-provided phone seemed to support his theory as she admitted her marriage was “on the rocks.”
“Okay, so I’m saying goodbye. I can’t appear on national television if my marriage breaks down. So I’m going home, and I can’t say I’m coming back,” she announced in the message.
‘You can talk to Brad about the details, but unfortunately I can’t do it anymore. Thank you for the opportunity and I’m sorry I can’t stay until the end, I’m just not strong enough anymore,” Kylie concluded.
When Brad later spoke to producers, he admitted that he believed his marriage was “done.”
‘I feel ashamed and sorry for other people who have to live with my choices. She is the last person I want to hurt – her or my children or my family. But I still managed it. There is no way this will go away or get better. It’s done,” Brad said.
“I’d almost say I single-handedly destroyed my family.”
Mimi and her husband Kristian broke their silence on the scandal, telling Daily Mail Australia that flirting had taken place but said they had put the infidelity behind them.
Speaking to producers, Brad admitted he believed his marriage was ‘done’ after Kylie (pictured) had a devastating phone call with her mother and halted production.
Mimi and her husband Kristian (both pictured on Thursday) broke their silence and told Daily Mail Australia there was flirting but said they had put the infidelity behind them.
“Our relationship is stronger than ever,” Kristian claimed when asked about the scandal involving his wife.
“The thing about the show is that everything we’ve done has happened in the past. We learned from everything we went through, and we are better for it,” Mimi added.
“So if it happens, it happened in the past. Yes. I don’t really care.’
She then claimed that there was no tension between them and their co-stars Kylie and Brad after the scandal.
“When I came out of The Block, I thought, ‘Okay, let’s think about our experience and what we learned from it,’” Mimi added.
