Two The Block homes hit the rental market for $2,800 a week after millionaire buyer Danny Wallis bought them
The spectacular winning home from last year’s season of The Block, renovated by Omar Slaimankhel and Ozman ‘Oz’ Abu Malik, is now available to rent.
The five-bedroom, three-bathroom house in Gisborne, Victoria, was bought at auction by businessman Danny Wallis for a record $5.66 million.

Known as House 5 on The Block, Omar and Oz’s luxurious extension sits on a ten-acre plot and includes a tennis court, pool and sundeck, as well as a golf course.
Other highlights include underfloor heating, triple-glazed windows and a spacious open-plan layout.

Wallis also snapped up House 1 from Tom Calleja and Sarah-Jane Wilson (pictured) at auction last year. This property is also for rent for $2800 a week.
Wallis (right) also bought Rachel and Ryan’s reindeer for more than $4.2 million. She bought three homes last year’s season in all, spending around $14 million.
Wallis also snapped up House 1 during the 2022 The Block finale, which was renovated by fan favorites Tom Calleja and Sarah-Jane Wilson.
The IT entrepreneur paid $4.8 million for the five-bedroom, three-bathroom home, and is also renting it out for the same $2,800 a week.
With ‘cathedral ceilings’, the house comes partly furnished and features a Cheminees Philippe wood burning fireplace.
There is also a spacious kitchen featuring Caesarstone countertops, a mudroom, a pool, and an entertainment deck with a built-in BBQ.

Wallis has been known to spend heavily at The Block every year. In the past, she has given away several of her houses to childhood cancer charities.
These organizations include My Room Children’s Cancer Charity and Ronald McDonald House, which provide housing for families with terminally ill children.
During last year’s season, Wallis also bought Rachel and Ryan’s renovation for more than $4.2 million, meaning he spent a total of $14 million on three luxury homes.
In 2021, he purchased Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie’s season-winning home for $3.93 million and donated it to My Room.
