The Bachelor’s Sam Wood shares his pride in starring on the cover of Australian Men’s Health: ‘A dream since I was a skinny 15-year-old’

Sam Wood graces the cover of the new issue of Australian Men’s Health, and he couldn’t be more proud.

The Bachelor star called the concert “a dream” for him, sharing his hunky cover photo on Instagram on Sunday.

The 42-year-old personal trainer wrote in his caption: “A dream since I was a skinny 15-year-old kid.”

He also called it a “bloody proud moment and something I worked incredibly hard for.”

Last year, the former reality show sold his fitness show, Sam Wood’s 28, for a whopping $71 million.

Under the agreement, Wood will become an investor in myDNA, with a five percent stake.

Since Sam Wood launched 28 in 2016, the program has attracted over 400,000 individual users and has partnered with Woolworths and Blackmores vitamins.

Thanks to the myDNA deal, Wood plans to ‘drive growth [and] add awesome new tech features and customization to the program and app.

The father of four explained that he had gained weight before the Christmas holidays and decided to follow his own program 28 by Sam Wood to get back in shape.

Online trolls were quick to accuse Wood of deliberately making himself appear larger in the “before” photo by “pulling out his stomach” and rounding his back.

Sam says it’s important to eat ‘real food,’ which means avoiding processed foods, but that doesn’t mean you should deny yourself the occasional treat.
