A female driver lost control of a Bentley convertible and rammed it into other luxury vehicles in a £1million car pile-up.

The expensive car accident took place in Monaco near Hotel De Paris.

The exterior of the hotel – which is also home to the Monte Carlo casino – is populated by countless luxury cars throughout the day as the super-rich flock to the area to show off their wealth.

However, one driver appeared to be a little too excited behind the wheel of a Bentley Azure convertible.

In the footage, shared widely on social media, a loud bang can be heard as tourists and locals alike recoil. The camera then pans to a pile of several cars with the bright blue Bentley Azure in the middle, which is worth a whopping £150,000.

The cars involved in the £1 million car crash

Bentley Azure convertible – £150,000

Ferrari 599 – between £80,000 and £785,000

Aston Martin Rapide – £194,000

Rolls Royce Ghost – from £270,600

Porsche 911 – from £99,800

Total cost – between £794,400 and £1.4 million

The car has a massive abrasion along the driver’s side, where the car appears to have crashed into the trunk of a white sedan as passengers in that vehicle scramble to get out.

Meanwhile, the Azure’s front bumper has also been damaged and it has crashed into an apparently stationary Ferrari 599, which could cost more than £700,000, causing damage to the front bumper.

A Monaco traffic police officer can be heard blowing his whistle in an attempt to disperse the fast-growing crowd that has gathered to watch the incident.

Other cars in the area include a Rolls Royce Ghost and a Porsche 911 – both appear to have escaped largely unscathed.

Daniel Alfie responded on social media: ‘How embarrassing. It had to be done.’

Mike Roberts joked, “You can’t park there.”

Another user asked why so many people were driving in such a busy area.

Monaco has long been a playground for the super-rich who visit and live in the microstate to take advantage of its low taxes.

Well-known residents include Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and singer Bono.

The area is also a popular tourist destination with 323,000 people making the trip to Monaco in 2023.
