A level 2 warning has been issued for western KwaZulu-Natal for severe thunderstorms and damaging winds.
South African Weather Service forecaster Julius Mahlangu says the warning applies for Saturday afternoon and evening.

“The municipalities likely to be affected include uThukela, Umgungundlovu, and parts of Harry Gwala. So people in those places are advised to be very cautious.”
He says the thunderstorm, accompanied by very high winds, could lead to the possibility of local damage to infrastructure.
