After persuading the suspect to surrender, authorities found the bodies of his parents, Reuben Olalde and Aida Garcia, as well as Lisbet Olalde, his sister, and Oliver Olalde, his younger brother.

The affidavit stated that “it appeared as if the victims had been shot at various places in the residence and taken to the restroom.”

Shell casings were found around the house and blood spatter was found on multiple surfaces.

According to the document, a colleague of Lisbet had gone to the family home when she failed to show up for work and forced her way in, where he was confronted by Cesar Olalde, who pointed a gun at him.

The police responded and arrested him on the spot.

Olalde is currently being held on $10 million bond.

Nash is a town of less than 4,000 people on the western edge of Texarkana, near the Arkansas border.

Robert Ward, a neighbor of the family in the small community, reported the casualties to the local station KTBS as a ‘beautiful family’ consisting of ‘hard-working’ and ‘exceptionally nice’ people.

He said that Lisbet had recently graduated from university and intended to become a teacher, and that Cesar, whom he described as “a good boy,” was planning to become a plumber.

Ward had known the family for 12 years before the heinous crime took place.

“What surprised me the most is who did it. He was such a good kid,” he said.
