Terry Crews revealed that his wife Rebecca King-Crews previously suffered three miscarriages.
The 56-year-old retired footballer spoke openly about his own grief as he recalled Sky Elements’ drone performance, which “portrayed the story of losing a child” on the final episode of America’s Got Talent, which aired on September 11.
“My wife and I know what it’s like to lose a child,” he said People“We’ve had three miscarriages.”
The AGT host, who has hosted AGT since season 14, continued, “It’s one of those things that’s so meaningful and special because the dedication is just a way of processing these things.”
The performance was choreographed to Lily Meola’s emotional song Butterfly, which was released in 2022.

The father of five said the audience and viewers at home “had to” see the show.
“This is the perfect AGT show today,” he said. “We balanced everything. We had the laughs, we had the dedications, we had fun, we danced. It was just all over the place and it was perfect.”
Terry also considered using music to cope with the loss and disconnect from technological devices.
While grieving for the lives of his unborn children, Terry said he “sat in a room and listened to music” to process his feelings and emotions.
He also indicated that talking to his wife helped him a lot.
“We talk about it. We have a really, really nice, long, deep conversation,” Terry explained of how he deals with heartbreak. “Turn off the TV, turn off the phone, and let’s just talk about it.”
He continued: ‘And it’s amazing what that does. You know what I mean? Absolutely. It’s really, really, you turn around an hour later and think, “Wow, I can do anything.”‘
Terry and his wife of 58 years, who married in 1989, had three daughters and a son.
In addition to their four children, Azriél (33), Tera (26), Wynfrey (21) and Isaiah (19), he adopted her eldest daughter Naomi (37) from a previous relationship.
