“Terrorist sympathizer!” George Santos yells at an anti-Israel protester

Republican Rep. George Santos went on a screaming rampage in the halls of the Capitol complex after an anti-Israel protester confronted him. “He has no business in this building. What is happening in Israel is appalling,” screamed an extremely emotional Santos. “No one who defends Hamas has a job in this building… He is an animal. He is an (excessive) supporter of terrorists,” he continued.

The incident occurred just outside where Republicans are meeting to vote on a new candidate for Speaker of the House. Capitol Police swooped in to intervene and arrested the protester, identified as Shabd Singh, who got under Santos’ skin. Santos — who is under federal indictment for allegedly embezzling campaign funds and lying to Congress — has also falsely claimed to be Jewish himself in the past. He tried to clean up his debunked religious claim by saying he meant he was “Jewish”. “I never claimed to be Jewish,” Santos previously told the New York Post. “I am Catholic. Because I learned that my maternal family was of Jewish origin, I said that I am “Jewish”. The protester, who is apparently Jewish but critical of Israel, wanted to speak to former speaker Kevin McCarthy. He said he is critical of any new war in the Middle East.

“I was following Mr. McCarthy as he walked down the hall. I was asking him what he is doing to stop the ongoing commission of war crimes by the Israeli army,” Singh said. Santos was apparently holding a child at the time of the collision. “And the next time he tries to get past me. With a child in hand I want him to leave here,” he declared.

On October 7, Hamas terrorists breached the heavily militarized border around the Gaza Strip and killed more than 1,300 people – the majority civilians – in an attack compared to 9/11 in the United States. The terrorists beheaded more than 40 children and grabbed elderly men and women from their beds, leading them into captivity in Gaza. 27 Americans have been confirmed killed by Hamas during the attack and more than a dozen remain missing.

The horrific attack has shocked the world and emotions remain raw as more reports and videos of the mass atrocity are released. Chaos continued to grip Congress as the House of Representatives entered its 10th straight day without a speaker. The hallway of the Longworth House office building was packed with reporters and members of Congress Friday afternoon reveling in the latest Republican vote on a new speaker nominee.

The House is currently unable to pass a single key resolution on the terror attack on Israel, let alone provide additional funding as a key ally prepares for a possible ground invasion amid warnings of a humanitarian tragedy.
