ITV have confirmed that they will broadcast LaLiga football in a three-season deal starting next week.
The broadcaster have secured the UK rights to ten matches per season, though they will only show games featuring at least one of Barcelona, Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.
Coverage will begin Barcelona’s trip to Real Sociedad, which will be shown on Sunday, August 21, with coverage starting at 8.30pm ahead of a 9pm kick-off.
ITV have agreed a three-year deal to show ITV games in which they will show ten-per-season
It has been made possible following a deal with rights holder Premier Sports.
Niall Sloane, ITV Director of Sport, said: “This deal ensures free to air coverage for all football fans of one of the most entertaining leagues in the world. The deal with Premier Sports will give fans the chance to see some of the most iconic clubs and world-class players in action, live on ITV.”
ITV’s matches will also be available on Premier Sports and LaLigaTV where all other available live games will be broadcast.
