Teen Mom 2’s Kailyn Lowry gives birth! Star, 31, welcomes twins and becomes mom of 7 as she discusses ‘terrifying’ C-section delivery at 35 weeks

Kailyn Lowry is now a mother of seven children.

The Teen Mom alum, 31, has announced the arrival of her and boyfriend Elijah Scott’s twins — a baby boy and a girl.

On her podcast, Kailyn revealed that she had a C-section to deliver the newborns 35 weeks into her pregnancy.

“I ended up giving birth at 35 weeks,” she explained on the Barely Famous podcast.

‘I was terrified because I didn’t like the idea, but I knew I had to do it because the baby was damaged.’

In addition to the newborns, Lowry and Elijah share a one-year-old son Rio.

Lowry also shares sons Isaac, 13, with ex Jo Rivera, Lincoln, 10, with ex Javi Marroquin, Creed, three, and Lux, six, with ex Chris Lopez.

The birth comes after Kailyn revealed she was open to another “mommy makeover” after welcoming babies six and seven — and Ozempic is on her radar.

Kailyn shed the pounds after undergoing weight-loss surgery in 2016.

But now, Kailyn seems open to Hollywood’s weight loss trend after her upcoming birth.

‘I’m afraid. I’m ready for 2024 because I need Ozempic shooting or something,” she said in her podcast: Baby mamas No drama.

“Would you like to do another mommy makeover?” Vee Riveria, Kailyn’s cohost, then asked.

‘Yes, it was the best decision I ever made. The worst decision I ever made was not waiting until I was done having children,” she said.

“Because let me tell you why, I kept that up until I got pregnant with Lux,” she said, referring to the son she welcomed in 2017.

The twins arrived five weeks early and were born minutes apart – their daughter was born at 11:36 p.m., followed by her brother, who arrived at 11:40 p.m.

Kailyn said she went to the gym “five days a week” to keep her weight off.

“If you have to have plastic surgery, you have to stick with it,” she said.

According to her, the operation should serve as a starting point for weight loss.

“It’s a jump-start to a lifestyle change,” she said. ‘It was a flying start for me and I was able to hold on until I got into trouble again. That’s probably why I got confused again,” she added with a chuckle.

However, for her possible second surgery, Kailyn isn’t sure if she’ll achieve the same results: “I don’t know if I would have the same results just because you have to be under… a BMI of 31.”

“I would have to lose weight before they would even consider me for it,” she said, and adding more weight could cause more complications during surgery.

She described some of the measures she had to take prior to her first surgery: ‘For my mommy makeover, I had to undergo a number of tests and then a doctor had to approve that I was in a healthy condition to be able to have – because it there’s going to be a lot of blood loss, a lot of stitches, a lot of healing,” she said.

She also revealed that she almost needed a blood transfusion during the procedure.

‘I almost needed a blood transfusion during my surgery and secondly, I have been anemic ever since. I have never had anemia since 2016,” she said.

Although Lowry has reservations about another weight-loss procedure, she was all about breast reduction surgery.

‘I’ll get a discount anyway. Like, at some point I’m going to have small tits,” she said.
