Teddi Mellencamp was seen accompanying her daughter Slate to an equestrian competition in La Quinta, California on Friday morning.

The 41-year-old reality personality and her 10-year-old son stayed close as the latter spent time horseback riding.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member, who has been fond of sharing exercise videos since the move, recently opened up about co-parenting with her husband’s ex-partner.

Mellencamp wore a white polo shirt under a puffy blue jacket as he watched Slate walk by.

The businessman also rocked a pair of tan jodhpurs, as well as patterned socks and white sneakers.

He also shared several posts from the competition on his Instagram story, with one of his videos showing Slate helping out a fellow cyclist.

Mellencamp shares Slate, as well as her two other children, with her husband, Edwin Arroyave, whom she met in 2008.

Before getting involved with her current husband, the reality television personality was married to Matt Robertson from 2006 to 2010.

The social media personality eventually married Arroyave in 2011, and the couple began their family with the arrival of Slate in October 2012.

The happy couple welcomed a son named Cruz, age eight, in 2014, and another daughter named Dove, age two, in 2020.

The reality television personality also serves as a stepmother to her husband’s 14-year-old daughter, Isabella, whom he shares with Christina Mecklenberg.

Mellencamp shared a photo on her Instagram account earlier this week that showed her spending time with her stepdaughter’s mother.

He also wrote a lengthy message stating that he reached out to Mecklenberg in an effort to get closer to her and Isabella.

The media personality called the acceptance of his offer “a true testament to the fact that we wanted to live in harmony and be what was best for Bella.”

Then, the businesswoman spoke about her feelings regarding co-parenting with her husband’s ex-partner.

“After spending several times together, I consider her a friend and not just a ‘co-parent’. Because not only do we both love Bella, we want to learn and grow together,” she wrote.

Mellencamp concluded by advising her fans who were also dealing with co-parenting situations to become closer to their stepchildren’s biological parents.

‘If you ever get the feeling that you have to make that call, send out that invitation, show vulnerability, do it. It’s so worth it,’ she wrote.
