Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said he believes the Justice Department will eventually charge troubled first son Hunter Biden so it can more easily indict former President Donald Trump in the future.
He told Fox news during a recent interview he believes: “They are planning to sue Hunter Biden because they really want to charge Donald Trump to say, ‘Look how impartial we are. We have sued both Hunter Biden and Donald Trump.”
Cruz, who is promoting his new book “Justice Corrupted: How the Left Weaponized Our Legal System,” argued that the current DOJ essentially operates a wing of the Democratic National Committee and focuses on Hunter’s drug problem — as opposed to potential corruption — to protect his presidential father.
“This DOJ is trying to focus on Hunter Biden’s drug problem because they want to isolate Joe Biden from the real issue of public concern, which is government corruption,” Cruz said.
Cruz argued that one of the main reasons the DOJ is focusing on Hunter Biden is to claim equanimity when it comes time to indict former President Donald Trump
The senator went on to claim that the department focuses primarily on Hunter’s minor alleged crimes, including drug and weapons issues, in order to “isolate” his father from corruption charges that have long been a rumored facet of the Bidens’ business dealings.
Secret’s Out: After a shocking FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago earlier this year, it’s no secret that the DOJ is mulling over potential future charges against the former president
Cruz has criticized U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, especially in response to the memo he sent last year instructing the FBI to target parents concerned about the actions of their local school boards.
Cruz’s new book argues that the DOJ and aspects of US law enforcement have been weaponized by the left wing of US politics and used to destroy conservative thought and American freedom
Cruz cited ample evidence suggesting that the DOJ — currently headed by one-time Supreme Court voter Merrick Garland — has extensive material showing the president’s involvement in his son’s potentially criminal ventures.
There are a number of reports and recent whistleblower documents suggesting that the president was aware of and involved in some of Hunter Biden’s foreign deals that enriched the entire Biden clan.
Such ventures include a handful of major payout deals with members of the Chinese Communist Party, as well as Hunter’s infamous deal with Ukrainian energy company Burisma, which paid the then vice president’s son as much as $1 million annually, allegedly in exchange for exposure. to Biden.
Cruz said that with the elder Biden in the Oval Office, the Justice Department “has completely disseminated into the most political and the most violent Justice Department and law enforcement apparatus our country has ever seen.”
He said the way the organization has treated the Biden family is irresponsible, and if his prediction is correct, it will be an incredible “abuse of power.”
The senator, who sits on the chamber’s Judicial Committee and has an extensive legal background, called Chief Honcho Merrick Garland’s actions “cavalier.”
In particular, he cited Garland’s dismissive attitude to last year’s outcry over a DOJ memo directing FBI agents to target American parents who oppose actions by the school board regarding the continued masking of their children and teaching Critical Race Theory.
Cruz added that if Republicans gain a majority in Congress in the upcoming election, one of the first priorities will be to oust Attorney General Merrick Garland and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.
In his book, Cruz additionally accuses the current administration of fueling an ongoing public reaction to the leaked draft of the leaked draft advisory that indicated the Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade.
The president continues to publicly defend his son, largely claiming he did nothing wrong – despite mountains of evidence, including an entire laptop full of disturbing information, to the contrary.
‘This is a boy who had, not a child – he is a grown man. He became addicted – as many families have experienced, addicted to drugs. He has overcome that. He’s built a new life,” Biden told CNN’s Jake Tapper of Hunter.
“I am convinced that he is – what he says and does corresponds to what happens.
‘And he wrote a book about his problems, for example, and he was honest about it. I’m proud of him.’
Biden also appeared to question his pledge to remain neutral as he tried to explain the background to his son’s potentially illegal purchase of a firearm, though he clarified that he “knew nothing about it.”
“He came by and said that thing about a gun, by the way — I didn’t know about it,” the president said.
