OMG! Taylor Swift has revealed her chilling first meeting with Eddie Redmayne during a screen test for the Cats movie
Eddie revealed that he was left briefly red during their first meeting because they had to hold each other in the scene after he had just eaten garlic dough balls.
Taylor recalls, “I was actually in for two roles – I had the look of Cosette and the range of Eponine, so I was certain I was there for a good time, but not for a long time. I wasn’t going to get the role.
“But they asked me to go to London to do a screen test with Eddie, one of my favorite actors, and I thought, ‘This is not an experience I will have again in my life.

awks! Taylor confessed that she “didn’t open her mouth” during the meeting, telling the story while performing with Eddie on the Graham Norton show
“When I got there, they put me in a full 19th century street boy costume and told me they were going to dye my teeth brown and I thought, ‘You’re going to do that after I meet Eddie Redmayne, right?’ But no, they made me look like death and it turned into a nightmare. When I met Eddie, I didn’t open my mouth to speak!’
Eddie adds: ‘I thought we’d just sing to each other – I didn’t know we’d be in each other’s arms. My overriding memory of it is that I’d had pizza and garlic dough balls before and all I could think about was my garlic breath as Taylor was dying in my arms, trying to show emotion.”
While Taylor played the part of Bombalurina in the much-discussed film, Eddie ultimately did not appear in the adaptation of the classic musical.

Taylor and Eddie were joined by U2 icon Bono and Alex Scott on Graham’s red couch.
Bono, who promoted his new memoir Surrender, said: “I wanted to explain to my friends and family what I had done with their lives. They gave me permission to travel the world as an artist and activist and we don’t really talk about that at the dinner table.
‘It turns out that the most special thing about me are the relationships I’m in. I met most of them in a week at school and I think the longevity comes from the community of people who know who you are and how you came to be who you are, we have shared memories.”

Bono described his “belligerent” relationship with his father and his desire to impress him, once having to fly him to Texas for his concert.
The singer said: ‘Then he came in and his eyes were all red and I thought, “Oh my god, my dad is going to compliment me and I swallowed hard.
“He held out his hand and said, ‘You’re very professional.’ That meant everything to him – and from him it was the greatest compliment.’
Alex, 38, who also appeared to review her book How (Not) To Be Strong, and asked why she wrote it now, says: “I’m so glad I waited because I have so many new and exciting chapters in my life.
“I’ve been on a personal growth journey that has allowed me to describe with raw honesty everything I’ve been through. Telling my story in my own way was through the book. As a little kid kicking a ball, I never thought I’d be able to sit and write my own book – it’s one of my proudest accomplishments.”
