Despite fans’ claims to the contrary, CBS Sports’ Tony Romo is doing a great job in the broadcast booth, Taylor Swift seemed to tell him during the post-game celebration following the Kansas City Chiefs AFC Championship win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Swift’s first comment to Romo couldn’t quite be heard in the viral clip, but he appears to compliment her before the pop star replies, “We do very different things.” They are different skills.”

Romo retired from the NFL in 2016, but has since become CBS Sports’ No. 1 football color commentator and was on the stand for the Chiefs’ 17-10 win over the Ravens on Sunday.

While Swift and Romo shared a fist bump on the field at M&T Bank Stadium, others aren’t so thrilled with how the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback called the play.

The online criticism of CBS’ top couple Romo and Jim Nantz comes as the network will air Super Bowl LVIII in less than two weeks with that duo on the call.

And for those unhappy with Romo’s comments, CBS shows Swift anytime during Chiefs games because her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, plays for the team.

“CBS has a huge Tony Romo problem,” said a fan on X. “He makes no sense and doesn’t even sound like he wants to be there. It’s incredibly embarrassing.’

“CBS should fire that bozo Tony Romo and hire Greg Olsen to broadcast with Jim Nantz,” said another fan on social media, as Olsen will be replaced by Tom Brady for FOX Sports next season.

Others online felt that Nantz and Romo were incapable of saying anything critical of Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson.

Swift has been constantly featured on CBS broadcasts when she attends a Chiefs game

Romo has been at CBS since retiring from the NFL as the network’s top color commentator

While Nantz’s voice is considered iconic, and Romo was once a social media darling for correctly predicting plays before they happened based on formations, their recent chemistry has lacked the kind of enthusiasm to bring an NFL game to a compelling way.

Swift hasn’t listened to many of Romo’s calls for the Chiefs, as she has attended a vast majority of games in Kansas City since her relationship with Kelce began publicly on September 24.

Still, Swift went out of her way to give Romo a compliment that many online felt he didn’t deserve.

For those who just want to watch Super Bowl LVIII without the distraction of Swift or Romo, it could prove to be a long night.
