Tammin Sursok’s shock career change revealed… as Nashville-based Home and Away actress returns home with new Australian project

She was once a fan favorite in Seven’s long-running soap Home and Away.

And now Tammin Sursok has made a surprising career move with the launch of a solo podcast called The Sh*t Show featuring Australian TV stars and celebrities.

The 40-year-old actress announced the news on her social media after dropping the first episode on Thursday, which included an intimate chat with local musician Amy Shark.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Tammin has previously produced two US-focused podcasts: Women on Top and Pretty Little Podcast.

Tammin posted a video of her first show on her Instagram and talked about her new project in the caption.

‘We’re live!!!! After A LOT of hard work, The Sh*T is out! In my solo podcast we have candid conversations with Australians and international stars about the messy, honest, funny, sad and beautiful parts of life.”

In an interview with News.com.au On Friday, Tammin said fans can look forward to candid interviews with Candice Warner, Osher Gunsberg, Bachelor star Matty Johnson and Seven’s Larry Emdur.

“I got to talk to people I grew up with on TV and learn about their life journey and their life story,” Tammin told the publication.

“I was just really interested in sharing that and sharing the messy parts of life that we all go through, and I wanted to do it in podcast form.”

The South African-born star added: ‘The nice thing about the show is that the celebrities and the people I’ve interviewed have really opened up about things they’ve never talked about before.’

It comes after Tammin Sursok announced last month that a memoir should be released and hitting shelves 2025.

“This is truly a dream come true as I have been writing essays and excerpts about my life for almost a decade,” Tammin explained.

“It’s very surreal that these insights into my past are now turning into a book,” she continued.

‘There is already a lot that I have opened up about, but there is still so much more to discover. Thanks to Pantera Press for joining forces with me. Watch this space’.

Tammin, who shot to fame 25 years ago playing Danielle ‘Dani’ Sutherland in Home and Away, lives in Nashville with husband Sean McEwen and their two daughters, nine-year-old Phoenix and four-year-old Lennon.

She later gained acclaim in the US-made teen series Pretty Little Liars.
