Tamara Ecclestone’s father-in-law dies: Heartbroken socialite husband Jay Rutland pays tribute to his loving father, says: ‘It’s a day I was worried about, it came sooner than I expected.’
Tamara Ecclestone’s father-in-law passes away.
Her husband, Jay Rutland, 41, shared the sad news of his father’s passing on Instagram Thursday, writing about how heartbroken he is. No cause of death was given.
Jay wrote: ‘Absolutely heartbroken writing this. A day that always worried me, but much sooner than I expected.
‘Dad, I love you and miss you more than you can imagine. You loved my daughters so much and I know the joy it gave you to see all the things they did.
‘So often you called me incredulous after seeing the latest Fifi had accomplished. I am incredibly sad that they will not be able to see you again.
I think that’s what hurts the most. The little bond you already had with Riri makes my heart ache.

Love: Tamara and Jay got married in June 2013 just six months after they met. They have two daughters, Sophia, eight, and Serena, two.
“I’m so glad we got to do the things we did together and I hope you knew how loved you truly were by all of your family.”
He continued: “You were a unique man, not one for many emotions or feelings, but when I saw that your iPad screen saver was Fifi last night, it made me laugh and cry at the same time.”
Now I have overwhelming sadness that you’re gone, but they say pain is the price we pay for love. ❤️
‘God bless dad, you’re with Mark now and we’ll meet again someday X.’
Tamara and Jay got married in June 2013, just six months after they met. They have two daughters, Sophia, eight, and Serena, two.
Jay lost his older brother Mark 22 years ago; the cause of death was not disclosed.
Jay previously recalled the heartbreak she felt upon receiving the terrible news.
He previously said: ‘I was 19 at the time and I still remember exactly where I was when I took the call and the sudden feeling of complete helplessness and overwhelming sadness.
“Life can really suck sometimes and it’s a reminder to spend time with the people you love the most. You never know what’s around the corner. RIP brother’.
