Swift’s gifts: Singer donates huge sums from her £580 million fortune to charities in each of the 20 states in North America where she performed her Eras world tour
Her sold-out Eras tour looks set to become the most profitable of all time, grossing £2 billion in ticket sales.
But Taylor Swift has also given away huge amounts of money to charities in each of the 20 states where she has performed on the North American leg of her world tour.
The singer asked charities not to disclose the amounts she donated, but it turns out to be huge amounts. Feeding Tampa Bay, a Florida food bank, said her generosity would provide 125,000 meals.
Another Seattle food bank wrote, “They’ve asked us not to share the number with you, but I can tell you that the donation will provide thousands of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to our 400-plus food banks in Western Washington.”
In Pittsburgh, a food bank said, “Her donation will ensure that thousands of our neighbors have the food they need to thrive.”

And the Santa Clara Food Bank in California thanked her for helping feed the 500,000 people they help each month, adding that her gift also inspired a deluge of fan contributions, with donations up 43 percent.
Ms Swift – who has a personal fortune estimated at £580 million – has also been generous to those working on the tour, paying bonuses totaling £43 million to artists and crew. And she surprised the lorry crew by giving them a ‘life-changing’ £79,000 each.
She also paid over £86,000 last week to book 197 one-night rooms at the five-star Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico for her crew.
The Eras tour will be across Britain next summer and charities in the cities where she plays here hope she continues with her generous donations.
When tickets went on sale last month, huge demand on ticketing sites collapsed, with hundreds of thousands of seats at stadiums like Wembley in London and Anfield in Liverpool selling out in minutes.

Fans were left “devastated” and some reportedly had anxiety attacks due to the stress.
Ms Swift showed her philanthropic side during the pandemic when she and her mother donated £39,000 to a mother of five who had lost her husband to the virus.
She also donated £784,000 to help Nashville after the deadly 2020 tornadoes.
