Let’s celebrate the sexy real ‘Daddies’ this Father’s Day, writes JANA HOCKING, who says there are three ways ordinary guys can earn the ‘daddy’ title that has women swooning

Oh Father’s Day, we’ll meet again. For those of us who aren’t super close with our dads, it can be a bit of a “meh” day. I tend to ignore Instagram, avoid socializing, and settle into a comfy day on the couch with a good TV binge session and Uber Eats orders. I find nachos with a touch of Ted Lasso can fix any bad circumstance.

But instead of blowing away the day, I thought we could celebrate the real ‘Papas’ this year. Yes folks, I mean “daddy” as in the bedroom term. The men who make us swoon in a raunchy and endearing way, as opposed to a… you know… paternal way. Disgusting.

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you know that in 2023, the word “daddy” has become sexualized. It is defined as someone who is dominant and caring. They take charge, but also consider your feelings. In short, the perfect man. And it makes women super horny. I included.

But this is not a new term, in fact I think we can blame Bruce Springsteen. Let’s not forget his timeless lyrics in his 1984 hit “I’m On Fire,” in which he sang, “Hey little girl, is your daddy home?” / Did he leave you all alone? Mmhm, I have a bad desire.’

Kind of creepy, and yet I’m strangely excited. I have a very similar reaction to the term ‘Papa’.

Nevertheless, there are many men who have something to celebrate on a day like today and if you want to be a metaphorical dad yourself, I can recommend the following tips:

Take care of yourself: Shower regularly, smell heavenly, and give the junk food a night off. Vegetables are friends, not enemies.

Take the lead: Don’t just ask a girl out for a drink. Send her a message saying you will pick her up, book the restaurant and get her home safely. We call you “daddy” between the sheets before you can even say goodnight.

Activate that ‘hero instinct’: Stand up for your wife, come to her defense, give her advice and listen to her concerns. If she came from a good family, she would expect that from her father figure, so why not her husband too.

And here’s a list of some very sexy daddies doing God’s work for women that I think deserve a mention on this day of the “Daddy.”

1.George Clooney

Here’s a man who’s married! Sure, he broke our whole hearts when he married Amal Alamuddin in 2014. But I think we can all agree that he didn’t shy away from going after a ridiculously successful woman. I mean, she’s a human rights lawyer who *checks notes* and defends the rights of many neglected and marginalized groups. Love a man who will not be intimidated by an impressive woman.

2. Ashton Kutcher

A man who knows the importance of a female orgasm will be right at the top of the dad list. Speaking about what kids learn in school sex education, he said, “One of the interesting things, especially about women… in school, they learn about sex education about how to get pregnant or how not to get pregnant, but that they don’t. I’m not really talking about sex as a female stimulant. The male orgasm is actually there and ready to learn because it is actually part of the reproductive cycle. If female orgasms were part of that spin-off, it would create a place where women are empowered by their own sexuality and their own sexual selves.’ Yes daddy, preach that powerful message.

3.Ryan Gosling

Not only because he tackles the role of Ken in the latest Barbie movie with the perfect amount of enthusiasm (give the man an Oscar!) but also because he wore his wife’s initial on a necklace at the premiere. A man who knows how to make his woman feel special and shamelessly reveal his love to the world is a real daddy! Be silent in the hearts of women EVERYWHERE. He also gets double ‘daddy’ points for defending his character in Blue Valentine, which the lead female character gave verbally, pointing out that movies should show that women enjoy sex as much as men. Take a bow, Gosling! You are the most daddy of all daddies!

4.Chris Evans

Sure, he’s ridiculously attractive, but he’s also the role model for adopting pets from shelters. He has said his love for his beloved, insta-famous dog Buster all started when “I was filming a movie in Savannah and the scene was set in a shelter and I wasn’t planning on rescuing a dog that day but the moment I saw him I knew he would come home with me.’ He encouraged fans to adopt, saying, “There are so many loving animals in shelters that desperately need homes. Visit a shelter and leave with a best friend.” We love a dad who adopts a dog!

So while “Father’s Day” can be a joyful occasion, or maybe a little triggering for some, I think we can all agree that “Dad” Day can be celebrated any damn day of the year.
