The first episode of the highly anticipated fourth and final season of Succession was watched by 2.3 million fans across linear broadcasts and HBO Max after its debut on Sunday.

Total viewership for the season four premiere of Succession on Sunday night was up 62% compared to the season three debut, which took place in October 2021 and was watched by 1.4 million fans.

The first episode of the show’s fourth run, titled The Munsters, was up 33% compared to the show’s third-season finale.

The media giant also revealed that the show’s first three seasons received increased interest from fans in the week leading up to its fourth season premiere.

The Munsters made their debut on Sunday and immediately drew praise from longtime fans of the show.

The episode also received universal acclaim from critics and currently has an impressive 100% rating on rotten tomatoes.

Sarah Snook and Matthew MacFayden, who played Siobhan Roy and Tom Wambsgans, respectively, were praised by many critics.

Cox, who has played Logan Roy since the show’s premiere, recently spoke with Variety about working on the show’s fourth run and expressed that her character secretly pined for her children’s affection.

He said: ‘That’s really what the fourth series is about. Fighting to see the children return to the fold, or return to the fold?’

The highly acclaimed artist went on to claim that Logan’s aggressive business strategy was undermined by his connection to his children.

Speaking his mind: Cox, who has played Logan Roy since the show’s premiere, recently spoke to Variety about working on the show’s fourth season, expressing that his character was secretly pining for his children’s affection.

He stated: ‘[Logan] he needs his children because they are his children and he loves them. If you didn’t love your children, it would be so much easier. But the fact that he loves his children is his Achilles heel.

Cox later commented that he felt as if his character wanted to create an ending for himself in the next few episodes.

It’s getting old. He is tired, he is very tired! He doesn’t want to be doing the same thing over and over and over again. He wants some kind of completion of what he does and who he is,” he said.

The second episode of the fourth season of Succession, titled Rehearsal, will premiere on April 2.
