Star Wars: Ahsoka Preview Clip Points to Hayden Christensen’s Comeback as Anakin Skywalker-Darth Vader
A new preview clip for the Disney+ Star Wars miniseries Ahsoka features Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker-Darth Vader.
Christensen can be seen in both roles at the beginning of the clip, and can also be heard in a voiceover showing Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) in battle.
“There’s more to this war than just droids,” Christensen can be heard saying in the clip. “As your master, it is my responsibility to prepare you.
“I won’t always be there to take care of you. Do not be afraid. Trust your instinct. I know you can do this, Ahsoka.’
The teaser also features a confrontation between Ahsoka and Sith Baylan Skoll (played by the late Ray Stevenson), as they spar with lightsabers.
The latest: a new preview clip for the Disney+ Star Wars miniseries Ahsoka featuring Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker-Darth Vader
Darth Vader, featured in the preview for Ahsoka, is the ill-fated character Anakin turns into and one of the most prominent in the blockbuster sci-fi anthology
“Everyone in the Order knew Anakin Skywalker – few would live to see what he became,” Baylan Skoll tells Ahsoka ahead of a confrontation.
In another sequence, Ahsoka is seen saying of Anakin, “Before the end of the Clone Wars, I ran away from him – and the Jedi.”
The series’ timeline — which also stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Wes Chatham, and Lars Mikkelsen — takes place after the destruction of the Empire and shows Ahsoka investigating “an emerging threat to a fragile galaxy,” according to Disney+.
It was not immediately clear whether Christensen’s contributions were new, or from previous projects iMDb has listed the actor as appearing in an episode of the upcoming season.
Christensen has a storied past in the Star Wars universe, playing the role of Anakin Skywalker in 2002’s Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and 2005’s Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.
In recent years, he contributed to 2019’s Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker and the 2022 miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Dawson’s Ahsoka character has previously appeared in The Mandalorian in 2020 and The Book of Boba Fett in 2022.
