Servo’s new Italian-inspired pie filling has divided a nation.

New Zealand gas station chain Z Energy recently rolled out their limited edition spaghetti bolognese and cheese pie to very mixed reviews.

Some cake lovers call it “genius,” while others say it’s “just wrong.”

“That’s disgusting… Where can I buy one?” wrote one person.

“I saw the sign myself, thought it was strange, but was also slightly curious,” says another.

Another person said it was a “delicious horror.”

Z Energy’s general manager of retail, Andy Baird, told Yahoo that Servo knew the pie was dividing customers but is still happy with the overall response.

‘Z is uniquely Kiwi, and we like to reflect that in what we do. Our mission with the Spag Bol cake was to inspire customers with a classic, nostalgic taste and put it in cake form,” he says.

‘Since it arrived in the cake warmer, the feedback from our staff and customers has been overwhelmingly positive. So while the limited edition cake isn’t for everyone, it certainly has some fans. Who knows what we’ll come up with next.’
