Sofia Vergara, 51, admits she will ‘fight’ aging ‘every step of the way’ as she shares beauty secrets (hint: one involves a bed, another coconut oil)

Sofia Vergara is one of the best beauties in Hollywood.

And she has no plans to let her looks fade, the 51-year-old siren shared in the new digital issue of People magazine.

The Modern Family veteran — who shared why she didn’t have children with ex Joe Manganiello — admitted she’ll push back on nature for as long as she can. “I’m going to fight it every step of the way!” said the Griselda actress.

For now, she feels great: “I feel great. I know I don’t look the same. But I don’t think I’ll ever be the woman who has the courage to have all white hair.”

She’s also tried every silly beauty treatment out there: ‘I’ve done it all. I mean, if you tell me to put cement under your eye, it will make you look younger, I’ll do it right away. I do it all.’

The interview also talks about her beauty secrets, what her workouts are like, her sugar addiction and why she doesn’t want to cut her long hair.

‘It’s like putting coconut oil on my head. I put it on my feet. I wrapped myself up to the neck in plastic with Aquaphor. I do it. I do not mind. It’s not stupid,” she noted.

And America’s Got Talent revealed her real beauty secret that everyone can do: sleep.

‘I take sleep seriously now. “I used to be able to get by on six hours, but now I know I don’t look good if I don’t sleep,” said the designer.

When she has a photo shoot, she tries to wake up earlier because she needs time to get rid of the ‘bags’: ‘Our job as actors is not like, put on your glasses and go pick up your child at school or go sitting at a desk. You have to be camera ready and do your job. But it takes longer now that I’m older,” the star noted.

She also jumps into the shower every morning to lather up.

‘I wash my hair every day of my life. I mean, unless I’m sick or have to catch a plane at 3 in the morning, then I don’t have time,” the diva noted.

‘But I wash my hair every day. Everyone always told me it would ruin your hair, and that never happened.”

And she doesn’t want to cut her long hair.

‘In Latin America I mean they told you that once you’re forty, you can’t have crazy long hair anymore. So I always think, ‘Is it time? Is it time to cut it? I don’t know, I don’t want to feel old-fashioned [with] short hair.

One of the biggest shockers of the interview is that she trains lightly but often: ‘I have bad knees, so I’ve never really liked crazy workouts. I’ve worked a bit like an older person all my life. I do small weights like this [she curls up her arm], but I am constant. I do it often because I can’t do spinning or other sexy exercises right now.’

And she likes to eat cake often, because she is a self-confessed sugar addict.

“I’m going to fight it every step of the way!” said the Griselda actress; seen last summer in Ravello, Italy

Sofia loves to look her best, probably because of where she grew up: Colombia.

“I think because I’m Latin American, we always think about looking good, doing your hair, your makeup. It’s something you feel good about,” she said.

‘I love beauty products. I love makeup, I love clothes. And I think now that I’m older it’s great because you know exactly what you like, what looks good on you, and what doesn’t look good on you. I don’t do what’s fashionable. I just do what feels good, makes me feel confident and beautiful.”

And she didn’t like hiding her looks for her latest series, she admitted: ‘I did Griselda for six months. It was horrible [look]’ she said laughing. “It was torture.”

Sofia also said that she is grateful that she looks good because it has opened doors: “I always knew what I looked like, and I was always very grateful, because at the end of the day, you have to be that way.”

Shockingly, as a teenager she was ‘very thin and not very voluptuous at that time.’

She said: ‘So it took me a number of years to fill out, and then I started to feel confident. But at first I thought, “Oh, I have nothing.” And then God punished me. [Laughs].’

She also revealed why she didn’t want to have children with ex-husband Joe Manganiello after welcoming her first and only child Manolo 32 years ago.

During her marriage to Magic Mike star Joe, 47, it never felt like the right time for them to have a child.

“There are things in life that may sound like good ideas, but they’re not,” she explained in the digital issue of People.

“I was already a mother,” she said, referring to son Manolo, whom she shares with her first husband, Joe Gonzalez.

“I know what it means to be a good mother or to try to be the best mother you can, and that takes a lot of sacrifice, it takes a lot of energy,” she shared, before explaining that she didn’t believe she was able to do that at some point in her life.

Vergara split from Joe last year and they finalized their divorce this year — and last year she admitted that their split was due, at least in part, to the fact that he wanted children while she didn’t.

Vergara has opened up about why she decided not to have more children after welcoming her son Manolo 32 years ago. The 51-year-old told People’s digital edition that it just wasn’t the right time to have a child with husband of seven years, Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello
