Cori, the daughter of Snoop and his wife Shante Broadus, also suffers from lupus. When she was just six, she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease.

Lupus is one of the chronic autoimmune diseases, in which the body produces antibodies against itself and starts attacking it.

Lupus – Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) – has varying severity. Some patients will have only mild problems, others will have life-threatening organ damage to the heart and kidneys.

Speak with People about her lupus battle in September, she said she was “better than I’ve ever been” after taking a more natural approach to her wellness.

“I’ve been good, better than ever,” she told People.

“I stopped taking all my medications five months ago,” she said. ‘I just do everything natural, all kinds of herbs, sea moss, tea. I started exercising and drinking a lot of water. So now I think my body is saying, okay, this is the new program and she’s getting used to it.’

Cori said she was forced to make the change after following the same routine for years following her lupus diagnosis.

Cori explained how her medication routine made her “feel like I was going crazy.”

‘I’ve been on medication since I was six, dependent on these medications my whole life. So I wanted better for myself,” she explained. ‘I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I am only 24 years old and take 10 to 12 pills every day. So I got a bit cold Turkey.”

She also said that exercising was beneficial to her health.

“My body doesn’t hurt,” she said. “If you have lupus, that’s one of the most important things. You have painful joints, you have arthritis. And now I think: damn, I’m not complaining about my knees, my feet, my hands, my back.’

Cori added that she was aware that she could make more changes that would benefit her health.

“It’s a constant learning process because I could be doing so much more,” she said.

“If I can make a whole 360 degree change and just get healthy all over the place, I think I would be so good,” she added. ‘But I tell people all the time: it’s a day-by-day process. Things will take time. Nothing will happen overnight.”

In 2021, Cori opened up about her personal mental health struggles and revealed that she had recently attempted suicide.

‘The last few weeks my mental state has not been great. At one point I tried to take my own life, but you and my family really gave me a purpose to live and helped me realize that life is much more than materialistic things and that you can just cut through the bulls** t have to keep pushing,” Cori wrote on Instagram.

In 2022, Cori got engaged to her boyfriend Wayne Duece. “The easiest YES ever @wayneduece. “I love you so much and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” she posted on Instagram along with the moment he asked her to marry him.

“I can’t wait to share my last name with you My beautiful fiancé,” Wayne wrote in the app.
