Saturday Night Live Weekend Update host Michael Che joked that President Joe Biden is going to work every day “with full-blown CTE” on this week’s show.
Che introduced a headline about Biden signing a measure that would prevent a recent rail strike without guaranteeing workers’ sick leave demands.
The comedian snapped: ‘How do you expect him to care about sick leave when he shows up to work every day with full-blown CTE?’
CTE is short for chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a degenerative brain disease caused and exacerbated by repeated blows to the head.
Biden said the bill “helps our nation avoid what would undoubtedly have been an economic catastrophe at a very bad time on the calendar.”
His measure forces the unions to accept a deal that four of them had rejected because it did not include paid sick leave.

Che and co-anchor Colin Jost also referred to the Republican candidate for the Georgia Senate, Herschel Walker.
Jost referenced the multiple reports that Walker paid for abortions by women who have gone after the former Heisman Trophy winner.
He said: ‘The Georgia Senate runoff set records for early voting. Herschel Walker has always encouraged his supporters to take it upon themselves to vote before it becomes a problem.’
Allegations of domestic violence and abortion hypocrisy have clouded Walker’s campaign.
In August, the Republican Accountability Project ran an ad highlighting a 2005 interview Walker’s ex-wife gave to ABC News.
Walker’s campaign later confirmed that the Senate candidate, who has previously criticized absentee fathers in black communities, has a 10-year-old son, who was born out of wedlock and had to be taken to court so the mother could receive child support.
The Daily Beast later said Walker confirmed he had a secret second child, aged 13, with a different woman and also an adult daughter, meaning the Republican has four children instead of just Christian, 22.
Jost also joked about Kanye West’s summit with Alex Jones earlier in the week, saying, “Right now, I don’t think Kanye is off his meds, he’s just immune to them.” We’re basically dealing with the omicron variant of Kanye.
