Sky News Australia presenter Tim Gilbert and his wife Josie are selling their beautiful beachfront home in Sydney’s south east.

The 54-year-old, who was previously the sports host for Channel Nine’s Today show, has listed the five-bedroom, three-bathroom pad with a $4 million price guide.

Purchased in 2012 for $1,595,000, the La Perouse property will go up for auction on Nov. 5, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The house has been approved for extensive renovations, including an extra bedroom, en-suite bathroom and cellar.

Gilbert applied five years ago to make the additions, but never went ahead with the plans.

The split-level family home is 11 miles from the CBD and overlooks the ocean at Frenchmans Bay.

The spacious and airy path combines modern chic with an open plan living area and exudes a holiday atmosphere.

Highlights include a ground floor bedroom opening onto a private lawn, and an entertainment deck on the second floor.

There is also a stone-built kitchen complete with breakfast bar, gas range, two ovens and a terrazzo back wall.

Each of the five bedrooms is extra large, with two walk-in closets.
