Silent Witness’s Emilia Fox has flawless TV style… But even though her outfits come from a friend’s fashion label, the BBC says no product promotion rules were broken

In addition to her ability to solve cases, viewers have long admired the clothes Emilia Fox wears in Silent Witness.

From floral dresses to herringbone jackets, the BBC1 drama’s forensic pathologist Dr Nikki Alexander dresses impeccably.

And now the Mail can reveal that in the case of art imitating life, Ms Fox has a personal partnership with brand Wyse London, which makes many of the clothes her character wears.

Ms Fox, 49, has made no secret of her long-standing friendship with the brand’s owner, Marielle Wyse, 60, announcing in May that she had collaborated on a line selling a pink blazer for £265 and matching trousers for £ 180 sold.

The BBC has strict rules about its talent promotion products on its platform, but a spokesperson for BBC Studios told the Mail: ‘The series features a range of brands, none of which are mentioned or given undue prominence. Clothing is purchased by the costume department and paid for in full.’
