This is the bizarre moment when a customs officer kicked and punched a passenger and nearly punched another at an airport in Colombia.
The disturbing incident took place Thursday morning at Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport, according to Sandra Barba, who was nearly shot after a heated argument between the officer and the assaulted passenger, Juan Camarillo.
Footage recorded by Barba on her Twitter account captures the moment when she said to the male Colombian migration agent, “What is this lack of (respect)” after he kicked Juan Camarillo.

However, the immigration officer tried to smack Barba’s phone away and told her, “Don’t pick me up.”
A female customs officer then approached Barba and attempted to block the view of her mobile phone’s camera and instructed her to relax.
Camarillo took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the customs officer after he arrived in Colombia to visit his friends and family.
“I am 32 years old, 30 of which I have studied. I thought I was going to be famous for being a good engineer, but it turns out I got famous because of a caveman from @MigrationCol who attacked me,” he wrote. “The great thing is that everything was captured on video and I never attacked the man.

In a separate video obtained Colombian online news outlet RCN noticesBarba said she and the male passenger had just arrived on a flight from Brazil when they approached a customs officer before getting on the phone to get their passports stamped for entry.
“That’s when the assailant arrives and punches the man in the face,” she said.
The border control agency said in a statement that the incident is under investigation.
“Migration Colombia rejects the behavior of one of its officials at El Dorado airport and emphasizes that it is not allowed under any circumstances,” the agency said. “The investigation is conducted in accordance with the (law).”
