This is the horrifying moment when a lifeguard in Austria kicked a young man off a 30-foot diving board.
Eyewitness accounts claim that a young man standing at the top of the platform refused to come down and so was brutally kicked off the high ladder by the pool’s lifeguard.
After two other lifeguards reportedly both asked the man to step down, another intervened by forcibly taking control of him.
According to the Austrian publication OÖNachrichten, internal investigations are still ongoing within the company, with the employee involved going on vacation after the incident.
A statement from Steyrer Stadtbades – the authority responsible for the pool where the incident took place – confirmed that the lifeguard worked for their company and kicked a man off the platform.

He has been temporarily relieved of his duties while the case is being investigated.
It is unclear when the incident, which can be seen in the video, took place Image – occurred.
The local authorities are also investigating the incident in their attempt to solve the problem, the municipality said Today times.
The statement from SBS states: ‘SBS will do everything possible so that the Steyrer, and the Steyrer in the future, can provide a pleasant and comfortable time in Steyrer Stadtbad.’
It is a lifeguard’s job to ensure the safety of customers. It is therefore very unfortunate that the lifeguard was involved in the fall.
“We are doing everything we can to get clarity about the circumstances.”
After meeting with pool guests who were present at the time, SBS also apologized for the lifeguard’s ‘error of judgement’.
