Sherri Shepherd revealed her plans for her summer vacation on her daytime talk show Sherri — she’s going to have a breast reduction.
Speak against Entertainment tonight at Variety’s Power of Women Luncheon in Manhattan on Tuesday, The View alum, 55, said, “I think I’ll get my boobs done.” I think I’m getting a little less because my back is starting to hurt.’
Sherri’s confession comes just a week after a pin that closed the hole in her dress that caused her large breasts came open during the taping of her show.
“Going out, you know, during the day it’s too much sometimes,” she explained. “So before the doors open, Willie [her stylist] said, “It’s too much boob!”‘
But that’s not all the Dish Nation alum has planned for her summer vacation.

“People keep forgetting that I’m an actress,” she told the outlet. “So yeah, I’m auditioning for a movie and I’m working on a children’s book. And I’m going to be a mother. Jeffrey needs me more before he goes back to school.’
The One For the Money actress shares son Jeffrey, nine, with ex-husband Lamar Sally.
And the talk show host talked about her role models with the outlet, saying, “I’d say it’s been Oprah, who just showed a loving interest in me and wants to talk to me.”
“Gayle King, who will text me. And Robin Roberts, you know, those encouraging texts to say, “Hey, you’re doing great or maybe you should move here.”
“And you know, when I call them and ask for advice, they’re there, and it feels good to know I have champions behind me,” she added.
Sherri has the life experience to know that she is doing very, very well at this point in her life.
In the early 1990s, she spent eight days behind bars because she owed $10,000 in unpaid traffic fines.
And she believes her short time in prison was a “life lesson” that ultimately set her on the path to success.

“Yes, I went to jail for not paying my tickets. At the time, I didn’t think it was a good time to be in jail, but looking back, I learned to pay all my bills,” she said. Page six last month.
“Prison, that was a classroom… it was a life lesson, and now I pay my bills on time.”
While incarcerated, a fellow inmate also helped Shepherd see her own star potential.
“One of the girls in jail said, ‘Leave Sherri alone, because she’s going to be somebody and we’re going to be here for the rest of our lives,’ which is literally what she used to say,” she recalled.
Role Models: And the talk show host spoke about her role models to the outlet, saying, “I would say it’s been Oprah, whose net has shown a loving interest in me and who wants to talk to me”

“She was called Shelby and she came to both of my weddings when I got out,” she revealed.
“But sometimes people see things in you that you don’t see yourself, and when she said those words, ‘Sherri is going to be someone,’ I never imagined that to myself.”
“So I just knew something was going to happen.”
And while her big break took some time, the tide turned for Shepherd when she landed the role of Sheila Yarborough on the Jamie Foxx show, which ran from 1996 to 2001.
She also starred in other hit shows like Suddenly Susan and Everyone Loves Raymond before heading up the ABC comedy series Less Than Perfect in 2002.
With an impressive resume of TV and film appearances, Shepherd’s career took another big leap when she became a regular co-host of ABC’s The View in 2007.
She was a guest co-host for a year before iconic journalist Barbara Walters welcomed her full-time.
She left the daytime talk show in 2014, but has made regular cameos over the years.
