A shelter-in-place order has been issued at Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania amid reports of an armed suspect on campus.

The liberal arts college on the edge of Allentown has about 2,000 students.

It is still unclear whether anyone was injured.

Four nearby schools have also been locked as a precaution. They are William Allen High School, Raub Middle School, Muhlenberg Elementary and Union Terrace Elementary.

A Holocaust memorial event, “Walk to Remember,” was held on campus last night, led by the school’s Jewish fraternity, AEPi.

Muhlenberg College was founded in 1848 and now occupies an 82-acre campus in a residential neighborhood in Allentown. According to recent rankings, it is known for being in the top 100 liberal arts colleges in the US.
