Shaynna Blaze spoke about her divorce from ex-husband Steve Vaughan on Nine’s Country Home Rescue Wednesday night.
The Block judge and renowned interior designer, 59, announced her divorce from the personal trainer in August 2018 after 18 years of marriage.
She talked about her divorce as she talked to her adult children Carly and Jess about the importance of a family home as they embark on a bold renovation together.

“I really need them to understand that this is important to us as a family,” Shaynna said.
She then hinted that her 2018 breakup took her by surprise, telling producers, “In just a few minutes, my whole life was turned upside down.
‘We sold our parental home, my marriage ended and all those things that gave you security suddenly disappeared.’

She talked about the breakdown of her marriage as she talked to her kids Carly and Jess about the importance of a family home as they embark on a bold renovation together.
Jess agreed that the divorce was “quite shocking to our family.”
At the time of her divorce, Shaynna’s children had bought a 130-year-old dilapidated house in regional Victoria to use as a location for a low-budget horror film they were making.
Carly and Jess had plans to turn it around and sell it at a later date, but Shaynna now wants it to be a real family home for them all to stay.

Shaynna rarely talks about her private life, but told TV Week magazine last year that she was “very happy.”
She added, “I take my love life private. My life has been sputtered out there more than I ever wanted.’
