Shawn Mendes caused a stir on Friday when he showed off his muscular body on a beach in Brazil.
The 26-year-old Mercy hitmaker, who was recently mobbed by fans, went shirtless and showed off his washboard abs as he enjoyed a day of surfing.
He was seen soaking wet in the water and wearing only black swimming trunks as he gave fans a glimpse of some of his 17 tattoos.
The Canadian singer’s tanned skin glistened as he splashed in the waves and cooled off.
Shawn was last seen a few days before he takes the stage at the Rock in Rio festival on Sunday.

The biennial Brazilian multi-day music festival began on September 13 and ends on September 22 at Barra Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro.
Other performers at the star-studded party include: Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, Travis Scott, OneRepublic, Mariah Carey, 21 Savage, Ne-Yo and Akon.
The festival marks his official return to the stage after he canceled his Wonder World Tour in July 2022.
Shawn shocked his fans when he announced the abrupt end in an Instagram post.
“As you know, I have had to postpone shows over the past few weeks as I was not fully prepared for the toll that being back on the road would take,” he wrote.
‘I went into this tour expecting to finally be able to perform live again after a long hiatus due to the pandemic. But the reality is that I was not at all prepared for how difficult touring would be after this period of absence.
“After talking more with my team and working with an amazing group of healthcare professionals, it has become clearer to me that I need to take the time that I never took personally to ground myself and come back stronger.”
The GRAMMY nominee added: “I regrettably have to cancel the remainder of the tour dates in North America and the UK/Europe. We were hoping I would be able to pick up the remainder of the dates after some much needed time off, but at this time I have to put my health first.”
He explained to his fans that he was withdrawing due to mental health issues and that he felt for the fans who were looking forward to the concert.
“I know you’ve all waited so long to see these shows, and it breaks my heart to tell you this, but I promise I will be back once I’ve taken the proper time to heal,” he added. “I love you all and thank you all so much for your support and encouragement on this journey.”
