Sharon Stone has revealed that she has worked with ‘a lot of misogynists’ in Hollywood who ‘told her what to do’ in a new candid chat.

The 64-year-old actress also opened up about the megastars she had worked with who had treated her with respect in the interview with Varietywhich took place after his surprise cameo appearance on Saturday Night Live on January 21, joining Sam Smith onstage.

The Emmy winner who delivered an emotional and silent performance said Sam “trusted” her to help them, unlike some people she has worked with during her more than 40-year career.

She said: ‘I’ve worked with some of the biggest stars in the business, who will literally speak through my close-up, telling me what they think I should do. They are so misogynistic.

The Oscar nominee was quick to point out that her Casino co-stars Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci weren’t in that category.

That’s not Robert De Niro. that’s not Joe Pesci, that’s not those guys,’ he explained.

The veteran actress also described an interaction she had with the late George C Scott, with whom she worked on 1999’s Gloria.

He said, “I want to give you the biggest compliment I can ever give anyone, honey,” put his hand on my face, and said, “You’re the best listener I’ve ever worked with, except for my wife.”‘

The stunned star said she was so touched by the compliment that she cried.

Sharon was candid about how her outspokenness may have affected her reputation in Hollywood.

‘I’m not the most popular actor in town, because people don’t want to listen to my, as they say, fucking opinions… maybe because of my devotion, maybe because I’m a weirdo. But I’m only in this to be present.
