“We look forward to sharing the evening with all these talented performers.”

Rita previously hosted the EMAs in 2017 when it was held at London’s Wembley Arena, where she received several nominations and was honored with the Power of Music Award.

The Poison hitmaker added: “I’m thrilled to be hosting again, and sharing the stage with Taika makes it all the more special.

“We’ve got it all at this year’s EMAs, fun surprises, great fashion, comedy and most importantly great music! We can’t wait for the public to share these moments with us.”

It comes after Rita – who only wears the band in Instagram snaps – spoke about her love for husband Taika in a rare interview after she secretly tied the knot earlier this summer.

The former X Factor judge insisted she is in love with the filmmaker, 47, and hinted that she is planning another big wedding in London for her friends and family.

Pop star Rita who never explicitly confirmed the marriage – although her close friends have, says she drew inspiration from her parents – her mother Vera and her father Besnik – in her search for love after learning of their strong relationship from more than 30 years.

She continued Jaime Winstone’s best night ever podcast: ‘I’m in love. I am very in love. I’m in love, I’m in love, amen!

‘But I also love love. I’ve always believed in it so much and I’ve always felt like I always wanted the fairy tale and I grew up loving it.’

About her mother and father, she added: ‘My parents have been together for over 30 years, so for me it was always about love and finding a partner and stuff, so I’m really glad I did.

‘I made that choice. It made me happy and I love Taika. He’s so funny and sweet.’

It turned out that in August in London, Rita married Taika in an intimate ceremony.

At the time, the star is said to have changed her last name meaning she is now known as Mrs. Waititi-Ora.

The hitmaker and the Thor: Love And Thunder director were both pictured wearing gold bands on their ring fingers in the days surrounding their wedding – leading to speculation that they had already tied the knot.

Rita and Taika started dating in March 2021, before making their romance public in August.

The couple got engaged for two before their wedding in August, with sources claiming they were planning a big party to celebrate their secret wedding with friends and family.
