Blanco recently dished on their “crazy” first date when she appeared on Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream on Tuesday.
He revealed that it was Gomez who made the first move.
‘She asked me out. It was crazy, it was crazy. She literally asked me… as if we were just talking, and then she said, “Do you want to go to dinner?” And I went to dinner, and I had no idea,” he explained.
Blanco said he wasn’t “nervous” about the date because he already knew Gomez on a personal and professional level.
‘No [I wasn’t nervous]because I’ve been friends with her for years. We have been friends for over ten years, maybe fifteen years,” he told Cenat.
“I met her when she was like a friend. I met her when she was much younger. We’re about the same age, but it seemed like we were just talking, and then she said, “Oh, let’s go to dinner tomorrow.”
‘And I thought, “I’m going here with my friends, why don’t you come hang out with me first and then we’ll have dinner together.”‘
Blanco said he and Gomez got drinks, but he didn’t immediately realize he was on a date with the Rare Beauty founder.

Gomez has been in the spotlight lately as she promotes her buzzy new film Emilia Perez; Gomez stars in the Spanish-language film
Gomez told THR this week that switching from singing to acting has given her “sanity”; seen on Nov 19
“And if you throw a little bit in there, people aren’t so hungry to hunt you anymore,” Gomez noted.
Despite being an A-list star, Gomez said she still manages to have “a private life” and prefers to hang out with “people who aren’t in the business that much.”
She also joked that she has become adept at hiding, or trying to go incognito, on date nights by hiding her face behind a scarf to avoid being photographed.
However, Gomez has been in the spotlight lately as she promotes her buzzy new film Emilia Perez.
The Spanish-language musical comedy follows a cartel leader (Karla Sofia Gascon) who fakes his death in order to undergo a gender transition to a woman.
The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to widespread praise, including a joint Best Actress award for Gomez, Gascon, Zoe Saldana and their castmate Adriana Paz.
After a limited theatrical release in the US and Canada on November 1, the film bowed on Netflix this Wednesday to a warm response from critics.
Gomez told THR this week that switching from singing to acting has given her “sanity.”
She also said she enjoyed Emilia Perez’s press tour because reporters didn’t want to bother her about her personal life.
“Every interview I’ve done for this film has not had one personal question asked, and I’ve wanted to kiss every reporter on the mouth and just say, ‘Thank you, because it was so refreshing,’ and I think that’s that is a space that is safer for me,” Gomez said.
