Saturday Kitchen leaves viewers in tears with emotional tribute to late Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers: ‘His cancer took him from us far too soon’

Saturday Kitchen viewers were left in tears after the BBC show paid tribute to the late Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers.

The TV chef died on Wednesday at the age of 66 with his friends and family by his side, two years after revealing he was undergoing treatment for an unspecified form of cancer.

As tributes poured in throughout the week, the cooking show shared their own montage of Dave’s best bits as host Matt Tebbutt paid tribute to the star.

Matt spoke to the camera at the start of the show and gave the emotional speech as he started: “As I’m sure you know, this has been a very sad week as we have lost someone very close to the show. Dave Myers, along with Si King, one half of the Hairy Bikers.

“They’ve been on the show numerous times over the last eighteen years and even hosted it a few times. We were privileged to have Dave back in the studio last October after he was recovering from another round of treatment.
