Saturday Kitchen: Greg Davies and Matt Tebbutt poke fun at their ONE FOOT height difference

Saturday Kitchen viewers were left in awe when Greg Davies and host Matt Tebbutt mocked their one-foot height difference on this week’s show.

Comedian Greg, 54, appeared as a special guest on the BBC cooking show alongside a range of other celebrity guests and chef Matt, 49.

One segment saw Greg helping Matt prepare a tasty meal, but the duo couldn’t help but lightly mock their height difference as they stood next to each other.

Matt, who is 5ft 10in, humorously stood on a step behind the counter to make himself look much closer to Greg, who is 5ft 8in.

Matt joked about his new taller body, saying, “I’ve taken on a different persona, hands on hips, I feel more manly, I feel like a real man.”

Greg then demanded to come down the stairs, with the pair bursting into laughter as their one foot height difference became very apparent.

Taskmaster host Greg then hilariously put his hands on Matt’s shoulders and joked that he wanted to “hug” him.

He joked, “Is it weird that I find myself wanting to hug you?” before grabbing Matt in a close embrace.

“That’s not the last time I hug you today, let me tell you,” Greg jokingly added.

The pair were also joined by another member of the Saturday Kitchen crew named Michelle, who is shorter than Matt, as they poked fun at their height difference.

Viewers who took to Twitter couldn’t help but share their amusement at the light-hearted exchange and make their own jokes about their height difference.

One person wrote, “Matt Tebbutt needs a neck massage after that cooking part with Greg Davies #SaturdayKitchen.”

Another tweeted, “Watching @SaturdayKitchen it’s hilarious how @matt_tebbutt looks like a hobbit next to @gdavies #alternativeLordOfTheRings.”

Big Difference: Comedian Greg, who is 6ft 8in, appeared as a special guest on the BBC cooking show alongside Chef Matt, who is 5ft 7in.

While a fifth wrote, “Greg Davies being Kitchen on Saturday made my day so much fun!”

Another added, “Get Greg Davies on Saturday Kitchen every week, so entertaining today!”

Greg caused even more hilarity on Saturday Kitchen as he spent the 90 minute show cracking jokes and amusing his co-stars.

While cooking with Matt, he sent his fellow panelists laughing when he became baffled by the cooking instructions.

When Matt asked him to pick him “some leaves” from a vegetable, Greg looked utterly confused as he asked, “What to do with them?”

Matt then instructed him, “Cut the end off,” while Greg asked, “Cut it like that, Matt?”

When Matt told him he was doing it wrong, a frustrated Greg yelled, “What do you want me to do?”

He added, “I peel it? Shall I put them in his bowl then?’ to which Matt confirmed that’s what he wanted.

Greg then asked, “It’s not me, is it?” I need specific instructions.’

Later in the episode, Matt also urged viewers to vote for which dish he should cook for Greg at the end of the episode.

They were faced with two choices, a beef dish or a crayfish and shrimp pie, with Greg looking completely shocked by the second option.

He hissed, “I’ll kick it out of his hands if you choose, I’ll kick the karate out of his hands.”

To which Matt laughed when he asked, “Will Greg face his food heaven or his food hell?”

Luckily for Greg, viewers kindly voted for the beef dish for him to enjoy, which meant they didn’t have to watch him attack the food.
