Sarah Ferguson ‘will be a VIP attendee at the coronation concert’

According to reports, Sarah Ferguson will be a ‘VIP attendee’ at the coronation concert to celebrate King Charles’s official coronation.

The 63-year-old Duchess of York, who was not on the guest list for the May 6 ceremony at Westminster Abbey, will reportedly be one of the guests of honor at the performance the following day.

According to reports, Fergie will join her ex-husband Prince Andrew and daughters Princess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 33, on the East Lawn of Windsor Castle, where the concert is being held.

She joins the 2,000 lucky ticket holders selected to attend the concert, which features the likes of Take That and Lionel Richie.

It follows from previous claims that Fergie was excluded from the guest list at the coronation ceremony because of her previous “behaviour.”

Sarah Ferguson (pictured), 63, will be a ‘VIP visitor’ to the coronation concert in Windsor on May 7, it has been reported – after it emerged she was dropped from the guest list at the ceremony at Westminster Abbey

That’s what a royal insider told me The sun that Fergie “never expected” to be invited to the coronation.

They said, “But she’s delighted to join the larger family for the coronation concert.”

“She cherishes those more relaxed times with the family and, contrary to some reports, is completely accepting of the situation.”

Royal commentator Tom Bower previously told MailOnline that the presence of the Duchess would “provoke critical comments that Charles does not need.”

And expert Richard Fitzwilliams praised the king’s “extremely wise” decision as it “has embarrassed the royal family for years.”

But the apparent decision has taken some royal onlookers by surprise — with Meghan’s friend Omid Scobie tweeting, “If true, this feels kind of cruel, doesn’t it?”

Speaking of Sarah’s absence, Mr Bower said she will be left out ‘because she is not a member of the royal family’.

King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, who will be crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6, have not invited Prince Andrew’s ex-wife

He added that she had excluded herself “because of her past conduct” and said: “Her presence would provoke critical remarks that Charles does not need.”

One of Fergie’s most embarrassing blunders was when photos were published showing her toes being sucked by her financial advisor John Bryan at her vacation villa in St. Tropez.

The pair were also seen kissing, embracing and frolicking in the pool.

She also reportedly had a split with her once close friend, Princess Diana, after she claimed she developed verrucas after borrowing a pair of her shoes.

They were reportedly still not talking at the time of Diana’s death in 1997.

And in 2010, she apologized after being secretly admitted and offered to sell access to Andrew in exchange for £500,000.

Mr Fitzwilliams told MailOnline: ‘The decision not to invite Sarah Ferguson is extremely wise and should be applauded. She has been an embarrassment to the royal family for years.

She gives embarrassing interviews over and over again, there seems to be no end to it.

“Sometimes a dignified silence is required, which she seems incapable of.”

Sarah attended the Queen’s funeral at Westminster Abbey last September, but was not one of 30 guests for Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021.

Earlier today, the Duchess of York smiled as she appeared at the London Book Fair to discuss her new erotic novel, A Most Intriguing Lady.

Fergie seemed lively when she talked about her writing during a meet and greet session at the literary event.

Opting for a simple yet classy look, she wore a black belted blazer with a mandarin collar over a red and black maxi skirt.

Sarah completed the ensemble with a pair of black suede knee-high heeled boots, an elegant half-up, half-down hairstyle and classic make-up look.
