It comes after Salma is said to be in talks to star in the upcoming season of Charlie’s dystopian Netflix series, along with Schitt’s Creek star Annie Murphy.

The publication reports that this group of actors will cover the first three episodes of season six, with more stars yet to be revealed for the final episodes.

Aaron Paul is best known for starring in Breaking Bad, while Kate Mara has appeared in shows like House Of Cards and American Horror Story.

Former teenage heartthrob Josh Hartnett is known for roles in films such as Pearl Harbor, The Virgin Suicides and 40 Days And 40 Nights.

Paapa Essiedu recently appeared in the horror film Men alongside Jessie Buckley, while also starring in the critically acclaimed comedy-drama I May Destroy You.

Danny Ramirez recently starred in the blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick and will next be seen in the movie Look Both Ways.

Auden Thornton is known to the public as Lucy Damon in This Is Us, while Anjana Vasan previously starred in We Are Lady Parts.

While not much is currently known about the popular dystopian anthology series, sources have revealed that the upcoming season will have more episodes than the final episode.

Season five consisted of only three episodes, although each of the episodes lasted over an hour.

Season five featured a star-studded cast including Wrecking Ball singer Miley Cyrus, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie, That 70s Show actor Topher Grace, and Candyman star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Variety also reported that a source close to the show said it will have an even more “cinematic” scope, with each episode treated like a movie.

Such treatment is not abnormal for Netflix when it comes to their greatest hits. The upcoming season of Stranger Things will reportedly cost more than $30 million per episode.

Production came to a halt in 2020 after Charlie Brooker and his creative partner Annabel Jones left their production company House of Tomorrow.

House of Tomorrow’s parent company, Endemol Shine Group, still owned the rights to Black Mirror and sold it to Banijay Group in the summer of 2020.

Netflix was eventually able to strike a deal with a division of Banijay Group that licensed the show to the streaming giant.

Black Mirror first aired on Channel 4 in 2011. It moved to Netflix from its third season which aired in 2016.

The show has won numerous awards, including eight Primetime Emmys and a Peabody Award.
