The non-profit Baby2Baby held its star-studded gala Saturday in Los Angeles, where Academy Award winner Salma Hayek was honored for her philanthropy and activism.
She is the recipient of this year’s Giving Tree Award, which is given to a public figure who has shown exceptional commitment to improving the lives of children in need around the world.
Ahead of the awards ceremony, the A-list actress looked sensational in a glitzy green dress that hugged her famous curves in all the right ways.
Now a veteran of red carpet events, Hayek worked for photographers from all different angles while presenting the appropriate full-length issue.
To complete her overall look, the Oscar-nominated actress got a height boost by wearing black platform heels.
She wore her raven locks in an effortless half-up, half-down style, leaving out pieces to frame her stunning face.

Later, during the ceremony, the Frida actress was honored with the prestigious Giving Tree Award.
Past recipients include Amy Adams, Jessica Alba, Drew Barrymore, Vanessa Bryant, Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chrissy Teigen and Kerry Washington.
“I am so honored to receive Baby2Baby’s Giving Tree Award,” Hayek, 57, said in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
She continued: “My 39 years of involvement in supporting the well-being of women and children gives me a deep appreciation and admiration for their genuine commitment and efficiency in getting the job done. I am very proud to share their mission and would like to continue learning from these special women.”
The native of Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico, has long been an advocate for the rights of women, children and immigrants, including lobbying Congress to expand the Violence Against Women Act, and subsequently co-founding The Kering Foundation.
The nonprofit organization leads initiatives aimed at freeing women around the world from sexual, physical and emotional abuse.
The Hollywood leading lady later teamed up with Gucci to create Chime For Change, a program that promotes education, health and justice for girls, and has previously worked with people in need in Syria and Mexico.
“From her commitment to combating social injustice and disaster relief to her work supporting refugee children, Salma exemplifies everything this award stands for,” said Baby2Baby co-CEOs Norah Weinstein and Kelly Sawyer Patricof.

In honor of the Gin & Juice star’s performance, Baby2Baby pledged to provide nearly 300,000 essential items to support the children in the Snoop Youth Football and Basketball Leagues and Snoop Special Stars, both of which provide opportunities for thousands of children in inner-city Los Angeles offer Angeles to participate in youth football, youth basketball and cheerleading.

Baby2Baby is a nonprofit organization that provides diapers, clothing and other supplies to underprivileged children in poverty in the Los Angeles area and disaster zones across the country.
Led by co-CEOs Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein, Baby2Baby delivers essential supplies to more than one million children across the country in homeless shelters, domestic violence programs, foster care, hospitals and underserved schools, as well as children who have lost everything in the aftermath of a disaster.
At last count, the nonprofit has distributed more than 150 million diapers and more than 350 million essentials to children living in poverty over the past twelve years.
