Hannah Spearritt had to move into an office after losing her home just before Christmas.

The 41-year-old singer, who has daughters Tea, four, and Tora, two, with fitness instructor Adam Thomas, rose to fame as part of the 1990s pop group S Club 7, grossing £50 million as a brand.

But Hannah insists the band weren’t paid a good salary compared to the millions they were making, and soon found herself without a place to live after her landlord sold her rented London home on short notice.

Hannah had to seek refuge in a friend’s office after not wanting to pay “crazy” rental prices up front.

She said Sun: ‘The children’s beds were there and we had the crayons. It was stressful. Our landlord needed the money and the property sold very quickly. We ended up with less than two days to go.

‘What annoyed us is that we didn’t have time to find another place. We had a place over Christmas but ran out of time before we could move. It was only a couple of weeks. We filled the unopened cafeteria with our belongings, we were so lucky to have that storage space, but we had nowhere to go.

‘They allowed us to stay in our friend’s office. We only use it as our living room. We could work there and the children played. It was extra space. The children’s beds were there and we had the crayons. The swing was up; it was fun for them. It was stressful, but you deal with it, right? Especially with children. What doesn’t break you, as they say.

The Have You Ever hitmaker was reportedly paid a salary of £150,000 a year during her time at S Club 7 and explained that fans may believe she and her former bandmates are ‘millionaires’ but insisted that That is not the case.
