Russell Crowe announces a great deal between Queensland and the AACTA Awards

Russell Crowe could barely keep the smile off his face as he spoke at the Australian Academy of Film and Television Arts announcement in the Gold Coast on Saturday.

Arriving at the Burleigh Pavilion dressed in his signature all-black ensemble, the 58-year-old AACTA president hid his eyes behind a pair of aviator sunglasses.

Disregarding the Queensland heat, he donned a pair of black jeans and a black polo shirt while accessorizing himself with a designer silver watch.

A pair of reading glasses was seen in her hand as she got out of the car to prepare for her speaking engagement.

She was quick to paint a big smile as she entered the room with her dark locks elegantly combed back and a pair of black slippers on her feet.

The New Zealand actor happily mingled with other event attendees, at one point seen stroking his well-groomed beard in thought.

Once the introductions were over, the award-winning actor was called to the podium to speak on behalf of the AACTA Awards.

The 2024 ceremony will take place on the Gold Coast for the first time outside of Sydney in a three-year deal after QLD walked away with NSW’s awards, it reported. Brisbane timetables.

“This is going to be an event that will really shake things up and have a lot of fun for people in our industry, and in this state,” Crowe said in the announcement.

The award-winning New Zealand actor mingled happily with other event attendees, at one point seen stroking his well-groomed beard in thought.

Once the presentation was over, the award-winning actor was called to the podium to speak on behalf of the AACTA Awards.

When he finished speaking, Crowe posed for photos in front of the pavilion’s stunning views of clear Burleigh beach.

He ended his appearance by speaking to the media about the amazing deal between the QLD film industry and AACTA.

It comes just days after Crowe proved that talent runs in his family when he took the stage at The Hoey Moey pub in Coffs Harbor with his son Charles.

The event, which is the brainchild of Crowe, Alan Doyle, Scott Grimes and Kevin Durand, also featured the likes of Lorraine O’Reilly, Janet Devlin, Myth of Her and the Jennen String Quartet.
