The image of the moment was posted to Twitter with the caption; “Meghan’s the only one who cried for the Queen… Basically sums it all up.”
The poster, who calls himself the ‘SussexDetective’, turned off comments on the tweet.
The Duchess was later pictured battling her emotions as the Queen’s coffin left the abbey en route to her final resting place in a vault next to Prince Philip at Windsor Castle.
The claim sparked anger on Twitter – with other users clearly sharing photos of Royals crying.
Some posted photos of other Royals clearly crying, adding, “People just say something in this app, I can’t…”

Footage from the spectacular event showed King Charles’ eyes welling up with tears as he stared at his mother’s coffin in the abbey, while little Princess Charlotte wept openly.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, clearly fought back tears as she arrived in the funeral procession at the abbey, her eyes red with emotion.
You could also see Prince Edward sobbing into a handkerchief, while his wife Sophie, the Duchess of Wessex, was also caught wiping the tears from her eyes.
Prince George was clearly upset at one point during the ceremony as Prince Andrew wept as he walked behind the royal coffin on his way to Westminster.
Queen Consort Camilla also appeared to break at Wellington Arch as the funeral party returned to Buckingham Palace.
But another Twitter user added: “I imagine Meg and Harry must have been very sad that one of the few people in that entire family who was kind to them is gone.”
The comment echoed Meghan’s confession at her reveal-everything interview with Prince Harry on Oprah Winfrey’s sensational Royal blockbuster in March 2021.
“She has always been warm and inviting and very welcoming,” the Duchess said of the Queen at the time.
Meghan recalled one of the first engagements she had to the Queen after marrying Harry in 2018.

“We had breakfast together that morning and she gave me a beautiful gift and I loved being in her company,” she said.
‘We sat in the car between appointments. And she has a blanket over her knees, for warmth, and it was chilly and she said, Meghan, come on, and put it over my knees too.’
In the wake of the Oprah interview, the late Queen released a touching statement expressing her sympathy for the ordeal of the young royal couple.
“The whole family is saddened to hear how challenging the past few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the statement said.

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be beloved relatives.”
The apparent hypocrisy of the Duchess’ tears infuriated others.
“So now she’s crying? LIKE NOW?’ one posted. “Please, this one tore her after all she’s done to destroy Queen’s final years, it means NOTHING.
“She’s such a disgrace, nothing can change that. She should be ashamed of herself.’
Another retweeted the photo of the duchess’ tears, adding curtly, “An actress by the way.”
Meghan’s tears were also questioned by Today presenter Karl Stefanovic, who said she was “apparently” crying.
He added: “There are a lot of pictures in circulation and interpretations of pictures and reading pictures that may or may not be true,” he said.
“There’s a couple of Meghan, er, with a tear down her face – apparently – and even one of Princess Charlotte who everyone said was crying, and we don’t know if it was true or not.”
