Rose Byrne shows off her flawless complexion as she goes makeup free at The Union Solidarity Coalition’s event in New York

She often stands in front of the camera with heavy makeup.

But on Friday, Rose Byrne went makeup-free as she attended the Union Solidarity Coalition’s solidarity evening in New York City.

The Australian actress, 44, showed off her flawless complexion as she ditched the glamor and let her skin breathe.

The Instant Family actress looked effortlessly chic in white trousers and a red sweater as she arrived at the event.

She completed her look with a pair of shiny beige boots and clutched a colorful bag.

Rose tied her brunette locks into a messy bun and posed on the red carpet after arriving at the event.

The Neighbors actress lives in Brooklyn with her partner Bobby Cannavale and their two sons, Rocco and Rafael.

Earlier this year, she released her new Apple TV+ series, Platonic.

However, many American viewers were left confused by the Australian star’s accent on the show.

In the comedy, in which she co-stars with Seth Rogan, Rose uses her natural accent, unlike most of her roles where she starred as an American character.

After the series premiered in May, scores of viewers in the United States took to Twitter to share their confusion over the way the actress speaks.

‘I’m so thrown off by Rose Byrne’s accent. Why does it keep changing mid-sentence?’ someone asked.

“I’m trying to watch Platonic and it’s so distracting how Rose Byrne’s accent shifts between American and Australian,” another tweeted.

‘Why do you say Byrne only has an American accent 60% of the time? So weird! Do you think actors know when they’re going back to their own accents?’ said another.

‘I don’t understand what’s going on with Rose Byrne’s accent in the show Platonic. Did I miss something? Did her character spend her childhood at a British boarding school or something?’ wrote one.

It’s no surprise that Rose picked up an American accent, since she first moved to New York in 1999, when she was just 20, to pursue her big-screen career.
