Ron DeSantis vows to build the wall to stop the invasion in dark video as he scrutinizes Trump and Biden

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has released a dark video that offers a glimpse of what his border policies would be if he won the 2024 presidential election.

A video posted to Twitter highlights the current border crisis while lashing out at his rivals, including former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden.

Accompanied by intense thriller-like music, the footage is a strong critique of Biden’s immigration policies, while also subtly referencing former Trump’s failure to follow through on his border promises.

The 2024 presidential candidate is stepping up his rhetoric against Trump in the 2024 primary after months of attacks from the former president, who claims DeSantis’ participation in the race is “disloyal.”

On Monday, DeSantis will unveil its full border security policy in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Accompanied by intense thriller-style music, the footage is a strong critique of President Biden’s immigration policies, while also making subtle references to former President Donald Trump’s failure to follow through on his promises.

The DeSantis War Room Twitter account tweeted the video with the message, “We will secure the border. We will stop the cartels. We’re going to build the wall. We will stop the invasion. NO EXCUSES. @RonDeSantis gets it done.”

The video showed a series of news anchors and reporters discussing the border crisis, along with text highlighting statistics, including the detention of drug cartel members and terrorists at the border.

A speaker can be heard saying, “There is a growing humanitarian crisis on the southern border.”

Another voice chimes in: “What has happened under President Biden’s watch is that so many immigrants think it will be easier to get into the United States.”

The spot does not refer to Trump by name, although DeSantis has previously alluded to Trump’s past immigration promises, including the call to build a border wall.

The former president has claimed that DeSantis’ participation in the race is “disloyal.”

DeSantis told New Hampshire voters earlier this month, “Leadership is not about entertainment. Leadership is about achieving results for the people you represent.

During his remarks, he promised to resolve the border issue and resume construction of the border wall.

“Finally, after years and years of arguments and complaining Republicans, we will finally be the administration that will bring this border issue to a close. We are going to close the border, we are going to build the border wall,” he said.

DeSantis, 44, who has only been on the campaign trail for less than a month, is trying to appeal to the Republican primary voter as someone who can deliver on the conservative agenda.

DeSantis has hit the campaign trail hard in recent weeks by going to all four early primary contest states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.

Last week, DeSantis’ office announced the formation of a coalition of 90 sheriffs to deal with the border crisis.

Record numbers of migrants crossed the US-Mexico border as pandemic-era restrictions ended last month.

DeSantis has been sending buses and planes full of migrants to liberal-run cities in the north as the country dies from the crisis on the southern border. That has led some to accuse him of committing crimes.

A new poll shows Trump lost a 6% lead over Ron DeSantis following his indictment

When it comes to recent polls, Trump lost six points in Republican voter polls following his indictment over allegations related to alleged mishandling of classified documents — allowing DeSantis to close the gap between the two frontrunners for the 2024 GOP presidential nominee.

The former president still has an impressive 47 percent of support among Republican voters, according to a CNN/SSRS survey published last week.

DeSantis consistently ranks second, but is 21 percent behind Trump in the most recent polls.

When the same survey was conducted in May, Trump was ahead of DeSantis by 27 percent — 53 percent to 26 percent.

The biggest change between the May and June polls was that Trump received a federal indictment from the Justice Department with 37 charges against him in the case involving his handling of classified documents upon leaving office.

Nearly two-thirds of Americans approve of the decision to impeach Trump, but a whopping 92 percent of Republicans think politics played a role in the indictment. Even 63 percent of Democrats say they feel the same way.
