Gov. Ron DeSantis vows to “tear up” President Biden’s “Bidenomics” plan in a blistering new video shared exclusively with DailyMail.com, blaming Joe for falling living standards due to rising prices.

“Bidenomics” is the new buzzword for the president’s economic plan and vision for the prosperity of America’s middle class that he touted during his re-election campaign. However, 2024 presidential campaign hopeful Ron DeSantis says there is a “disconnection” between the picture of the economy portrayed by the administration and Americans’ daily struggle to put food on the table because of rising prices.

The video, which will run on organic social media channels, cites a series of statistics showing Americans under the Biden administration are facing skyrocketing food prices, forcing 57 percent of families to live paycheck to paycheck, contribute to an overall decline in their income. standard of living.

As a result, in a clip from a campaign event, Florida’s governor says, “We need to rip up Bidenomics root and branch and throw it away.”

“I have no interest in managing the decline of this country,” DeSantis says in the video.

“I want to reverse the downturn. Bidenomics at the end of the day means you pay more for everything. Your standard of living is declining. You have less freedom, but the government has much more power.’

The video highlights the 70 percent of Americans who disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy — according to an ABC/Ipsos poll released last month.

It also cites food price increases of 6.7 percent year-over-year, based on data released in May by the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ consumer price index.

The White House has addressed concerns that Americans are feeling the negative impact of rising prices.

“But I’ll tell you one thing… we’re cutting prices across the board. That’s what I’ll talk about today,” Biden told reporters ahead of his June Bidenomics launch in Chicago.

The Bidenomics plan includes taxing the wealthy to invest in areas critical to national security, such as semiconductors; train workers to expand the middle class; and stimulating economic competition to reduce costs.

Deputy Press Secretary Olivia Dalton has called Biden’s economic policies “incredibly popular” with Americans — particularly regarding critical infrastructure investments.

She failed to acknowledge the discrepancy between public opinion and the successes touted by the administration according to national polls.

Last month, one poll for DailyMail.com revealed that 52 percent of all voters believe they are worse off since Biden took office.

According to the same DailyMail.com/JL Partners national poll, President Joe Biden would beat his Republican challenger, whoever he is, if the general election were held tomorrow — but DeSantis would bring him closer than former President Donald Trump.

The poll of 1,000 likely general election voters found that in a Biden-DeSantis matchup, the Democratic nominee would take 44 percent of the vote to 43 percent.

Trump, however, remains the clear front-runner in the Republican primary. Polling averages give him a more than 30-point lead over DeSantis, with Pence a distant third.

Americans still cite the economy as their number one issue in the 2024 election and it is expected to top the first upcoming GOP primary debate, hosted by Fox News in Milwaukee in August.

More than half — 54 percent — of Americans disapprove of Biden’s job relinquishment. In addition, only 35 percent of respondents approved of his stewardship of the economy, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted last month.

Senate Republicans have called for a series of price hikes Americans have faced since Biden took office.

According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, food prices are up 20 percent, gas prices are up 51 percent, and electricity prices are up 22 percent.
