Ruby Stewart decided to wait until Mother’s Day to reveal that she is now a first-time mother.
The singer and model, the fourth child and third daughter of a rock legend Rod Stewarttook to Instagram to reveal that she and fiancé Jake Kalic welcomed a baby boy named Otis Stewart Kalick on May 9.
“This love…unlike any other love I’ve ever known,” 35-year-old Stewart wrote alongside a series of baby photos. “I’m just a mirror of what I feel about you…I can’t remember what life was like for you…. But nothing else matters now that you’re here… Your coming into the world marks the beginning of our family… it all started with you Otis.”
Along with the announcement, the Los Angeles native shared several photos of the newborn.

The new dad also shared a photo of his son on his Instagram page, writing, “Otis Stewart Kalick showed up, 12 days late for his reservation, happy and healthy. Otis’ mother is incredible. Happy First Mother’s Day @rubystewart.’
Rod, 78, became a grandfather for the first time in 2011, when his daughter Kimberly Stewart and actor Benicio Del Toro welcomed a daughter, Delilah, who is now 11.
With the birth of Otis, the Forever Young rocker became a grandfather for the second time.
And then, just days later, on May 12, Liam Stewart and his partner Nicole Ann revealed the arrival of their first son Louie, making Rod a three-time grandfather.
The Maggie May singer-songwriter was all smiles at a baby shower in February to celebrate Ruby’s pregnancy, with family from both parents-to-be in attendance.

The longtime fashion model captioned the photo with hashtags, “it’s a family matter,” “we’re having a baby,” and “boy.”
In total, Rod Stewart has eight children by five different women, including daughters Sarah Streeter, 59, Kimberly, 43, Ruby, 35, and Renee, 30, and sons Sean, 42, Liam, 28, Alastair, 17, and Alden, 12.
The children’s mothers include his teenage sweetheart Susannah Boffey, as well as models Alana Stewart, Kelly Emberg, Rachel Hunter and Penny Lancaster.
