Sporting one of his signature snazzy looks, Rod and Aiden watched as Celtic stormed to victory, giving them the upper hand in the title race against their fierce rivals Rangers.

Rod recently posed for a sweet photo with three of his eight children, including his youngest son Aiden.

The musician shared the image on Instagram after his ice hockey player son Liam won the English National Ice Hockey League Cup with his team Milton Keynes Lightning – for which he has played since 2019.

Looking friendly, Rod posed with Liam, who he shares with ex Rachel Hunter, and his youngest sons Alastair, 18, and Aiden – his children with wife Penny Lancaster.

He added a caption alongside the shot: “As proud as a dad could be: congratulations @mklightningihc @discostew94.”

Liam, a forward for the team, Alistair and Aidan join Rod’s large brood – which also includes Sean, 43, and Kimberly, 44, with ex-wife Alana Stewart; daughter Ruby, 36, with ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg; Liam’s sister Renee, 31; and Sarah, 59.

While many fans congratulated Liam, other followers were amazed at Rod’s resemblance to his youngest son. They reacted to the post with shock.

Followers wrote: ‘Wow your youngest looks just like you!!!…Yes. The youngest boy is a dead ringer for daddy… Copy with your youngest’.

Rod’s sweet post comes after the star praised King Charles for speaking publicly about his cancer diagnosis. The king announced last month that he had been diagnosed with a form of cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.

Rod’s arrival for the match also caught the attention of the fans in attendance

Singer Sir Rod revealed in 2019 that he had had prostate cancer for three years and is now free. During an appearance on Loose Women on Friday, Sir Rod praised the King for being open about his illness.

Sir Rod said: ‘Let us take our hats off to our king, who has made it public. We are prostate sisters!”

The star was on the ITV show with fellow musician Jools Holland, 66, as the pair worked together on new joint LP Swing Fever.

Jools was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2014 following a routine blood test after having no symptoms.

Jools added: ‘The whole point is to raise awareness, so if you’re a man, get yourself checked.’

It comes after Sir Rod sold the rights to his music and likeness to Irving Azoff’s Iconic Artists Group for just under $100 million.

The rock legend – whose back catalog includes the hits Maggie May, Stay With Me, You Wear It Well, You’re in My Heart and Do Ya Think I’m Sexy? – believes that after six decades in the music business it is time to secure his legacy.

He told The Wall Street Journal: “This year marks my 60th year in the music industry. The time is right and I feel fortunate to have found partners in Irving and his team at Iconic to whom I can entrust my life’s work and future musical legacy.”

Irving Azoff, Chairman and CEO of Iconic, said: “We are thrilled to welcome one of the most celebrated singer-songwriters of our time, Rod Stewart, to the Iconic family.

“Our new partnership with HPS gives us the resources and flexibility to deliver blockbuster signings like this and continue the success of our legendary artists and their legacies.”

Scot French, Governing Partner at HPS, added: ‘Iconic has built an impressive platform and artist portfolio, and we are pleased to provide funding that will allow the company to further scale its operations and continue its mission to defend the rights of musical talent can promote. ‘
