John Owen concluded, “It is important for every person in my position who has had a privilege in their life and in their upbringing to recognize that and recognize that I had a foot in the door that many people did not.
“But I also think it’s important to say that once I came through that door I worked really hard and I’m very grateful for the opportunities that have come into my life.
“My hope is that if I find success, I can help others and use my platform to get more people in.”
The father-son duo has previously appeared together in other films, including the sitcom The Grinder in 2015 and the romance film Holiday in the Wild in 2019.
