Rihanna shocked fans last week when she ignored her former friend Naomi Campbell during an awkward encounter at New York Fashion Week.
The 36-year-old singer, who was previously a close friend of the 54-year-old supermodel, was snapped arriving at Alaïa’s fashion show in a full, crystal-covered gown, but all eyes were on her frosty reception from Campbell.
As the Umbrella hitmaker walked to her front row seat, she enthusiastically greeted Edward Enninful, editor-in-chief of British Vogue, who was seated next to Campbell.
As Campbell smiled at Rihanna, the singer walked past her without a second glance, sparking outrage from fans on social media.
One fan wrote: ‘Her total ignoring of Naomi gives me LIFE,’ while a second typed: ‘Not Rihanna ignoring Naomi and Law Roach like that…… oop.’

Others wrote: ‘Rihanna said God forgives but I don’t lmao’, ‘I think she just wanted to ignore Naomi and Law because Naomi took in a stray dog; I wonder what their problem is lol.’
Another follower wrote: ‘They seem to be ignoring each other. Or, at best, just smiling at each other.’
“I love the energy because she doesn’t care and she acts like it’s just wind.”
This isn’t the first time the two have crossed swords. In 2014, Naomi was filmed at the British Fashion Awards grabbing Rihanna and saying something to her – before the pop star gave her a cold look.
Naomi then appeared to apologize and hung her head. Stunned fans thought Naomi had asked Rihanna, “Are you high?” and the clip went viral.
Rihanna and Naomi have been photographed together countless times in recent years, with the catwalker kissing during the Fenty icon’s Fenty Puma fashion show during New York Fashion Week in 2016.
But in 2017, it was claimed that Rihanna’s romance with Naomi’s ex Hassan Jameel was the cause of the alleged feud between the two.
The sun reported that the supermodel, who is believed to have dated the Saudi businessman in 2016, is unhappy that the singer and Hassan have fallen so deeply in love, saying she hates feeling like a “second choice.”

The glamorous couple, who used to be good friends, sparked rumours of a feud when they unfollowed each other on social media, with the Toyota dealership heir reportedly the reason behind their rage.
Naomi is now following Rihanna again, but the singer has not paid her back.
According to the newspaper, Naomi was not impressed by the fact that Hassan chose the singer over her. Rihanna is so in love with him that she has no intention of giving up.
A source revealed: “They’re both formidable women. No one knows exactly what happened between Naomi and Hassan but she definitely doesn’t like being second best.”
They added that the Work singer was in too deep to stop the romance, continuing: “Rihanna is someone who falls hard for someone, and nothing can stand in her way.”
Naomi’s romance with Hassan has never been confirmed, but the two were photographed together last July when they attended the British Summer Time Festival in London.

The Croydon-born star only added fuel to the fire when he was asked about their alleged tensions on Watch What Happens Live in March.
A viewer asked host Andy Cohen on the show about the couple: “There are no pictures on social media and there is no communication. Is everything okay between the two of them?”
To which the supermodel coolly and without batting an eyelid replied, “Everything is fine.”
When neither Andy nor the audience seemed convinced, she broke the silence with, “Of course that’s fine,” and winked, “I’m an actress now, Andy.”
